Inter-Domicile Swapping
Posted On: Jun 19, 2012

We are pleased to report the Company has relaxed restrictions on inter-domicile swapping. Previously, a flight attendant was required to drop one pairing in one base (via Daily Open Time, Crew Member Trade, etc.), before picking up another pairing in another base. As of this month flight attendants may straight trade pairings regardless of domicile in a single transaction. Of course, staffing levels and all legalities may influence the approval of that transaction.

REMEMBER: When swapping pairings amongst domiciles, it is the flight attendant's responsibility to ensure they are positioned in the correct base prior to the start time of a pairing.

This additional flexibility helps flight attendants in a myriad of circumstances (commuters, those attending to family or personal matters in other cities, those waiting to enter another base, or simply those who are seeking additional flying options). If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact any union leader.
